About

Born and bred in Glasgow, Scotland. I completed my BA Hons and Masters Degree in Textiles, specialising in Embroidery at The Glasgow School of Art. I now live and work in Manchester.

Words, humour, colour and nonsense are at the heart of all my work. All artworks begin life as scribbles, phone notes and random post-it notes, the inner thoughts and rambles of a busy head. My unsolicited life advice and nonsense words are painted with acrylics layered over repeat patterns created using hand carved and printed stamps. Colour and humour are always at the forefront of my work. I’ve always been inspired by protest signs and I love that through word play and bold colour that even in the most serious times we can find humour and wit.

All pieces are printed to order here in Manchester using beautiful 300gsm 100% cotton Smooth Rag matt fine art paper.
